We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with an experience in various refineries process technologies, such as Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU), Sour Water Stripper (SWS), Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC), Hydrocracking, Hydrotreating, CCR, and others, to join Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD). OESD under the Global Manufacturing provides specialized and timely operations and process engineering support to all process technologies operated on both wholly-owned and affiliates’ refining and chemicals operating facilities, collectively known as Global Manufacturing. The primary role is to provide process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for all refineries process technologies, including remote and field technical advisory support, benchmarking, and technology knowledge management and exchange. Drive the performance improvement programs which enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing cost, and increase plant reliability. Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized and approved program. +17 years of total refinery or gas plants process units experience (process engineering and operations) with at least 10 years’ experience in handling various process technologies such as SRU, SWS, FCC, Hydrocracking, Hydrotreating, CCR and others. Exposure to different process licensor technologies is a plus. Excellent computer skills as well as presentation skills. Demonstrate strong management and coordination skill. Good command of English, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure. Key Responsibilities Review and monitor the performances of existing refineries process technologies KPIs representing the process plant’s operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety. Issue quarterly performance benchmarking reports highlighting the KPIs, analysis, and improvement recommendations for each process technology. Monitor and support implementation of the recommendations Conduct best practices exchange workshops among Global Manufacturing facilities having similar or different process technologies. Issue quarterly technical best practices bulletin to operating facilities. Provide technical advisory support to facilities on matters concerning the operation of various process technologies including process design & troubleshooting, start-up and shutdown activities, capacity test runs, and technology pilot testing. Propose cost optimization or process improvement initiatives focusing on ‘low-hanging fruits’ with minimal capital investment required, through operational changes or design modification. Conduct internal assessments on process engineering standards using engineering standard references. Highlight deviations or better practices applied by affiliates for endorsement to facility or Central Engineering. Support the implementation of relevant engineering standards to process technologies across Global Manufacturing. Act as overall coordinator for cascading and driving Global Manufacturing and Corporate programs to the facilities for execution and effective monitoring. Participate in Business Plan development and coordinate with stakeholders for any capital investments on assigned process units and support techno-economic evaluations. Recommend and coordinate proven technology deployments in various process units in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Support facilitation of knowledge exchange workshops with process technology licensors and facilities. Participate as subject matter experts on external benchmarking with 3rd party entities. Ensure continuous learning on process engineering and technology specialist skills. Provide in-house technical trainings to Global Manufacturing facilities when needed. Participate in hazard operability (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) studies. Participate in incident investigation activities. Act as overall coordinator on any data related to process technologies required by Global Manufacturing Affiliate Affairs.
