LHR Americas LHR Americas recruits people from around the world to work in Saudi Arabia. Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Compressor Engineer (mechanical engineering background) to work with our refinery department – Reliability Unit (RU). The RU is a centralized engineering unit, its function caters mainly to the technical needs of our refinery operations and supports organizations in compressor monitoring, technical support, troubleshooting, and coordinating PdM and PM activities. Your primary role will be to provide technical support to our refinery operating plants, projects, and technology deployment as well as the talent development of junior Compressor Engineers. You will be expected to conduct special studies and analyses in specialized rotating equipment assets, manage our reliability programs, and develop monitoring programs to uplift equipment availability and reliability. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 10 years of experience in rotating equipment within a refinery or the Petrochemical industry. You must have a thorough knowledge of best engineering practices, solid industry codes and standards background, and use of engineering software such as system1, CCC, or Vibration CSI. Key Responsibilities Provide technical guidance, support, training, and expertise to plant departments. Assess plant operation, maintenance, and engineering with technical information for the rotating equipment and compressor systems and recommended actions for improvements and system optimization. Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities on the rotating equipment and compressor systems. Develop and coordinate PdM and PM for rotating equipment and compressor systems activities. Ensure manufacturing knowledge is captured and continuous improvement is delivered by benchmarking and improving practices across our operating facilities. Provide leadership and support for rotating equipment and compressor systems across our operating facilities. Provide engineering expertise and consulting on plant rotating equipment and compressor systems. Carry out thorough failure analysis & issue recommendations. Also, participate in equipment major failures investigation teams. Gather/analyze critical rotating equipment operating parameters from DCS, PI & operator Checklist and be able to recommend corrective actions. Prepare detailed technical scope for major equipment overhaul. Maintain and execute installation, configuration, and upgrade procedures. Lead/give support to plant outages, shutdowns, and chronicle problems. System testing and health monitoring, experience in using system logs for troubleshooting. Create and implement new strategies to improve productivity for the company, as well as support start-up & maintenance activities. Review EDC, new and upgrade projects’ packages, and provide comments. Establish & maintain an asset’s fault analysis database ensuring all data, drawings, and information are complete and all modifications are updated. Interviews Stage: 2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation. If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client. If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you. 2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week. If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told to go to the location. The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions. If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer. If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you. 2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field. 3. Conditional Offer: A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
