We're looking for an experienced Energy Optimization Specialist to join our Operation Engineering Solutions Department's Decarbonization and Sustainability Division. This team provides engineering expertise in energy efficiency and optimization for our oil, refining, and gas plants, as well as knowledge in renewable energy and decarbonization solutions. Your main responsibility will be to manage various energy engineering aspects, ensuring compliance with energy management standards and enhancing efficiency across our global manufacturing portfolio. You'll also provide technical support on critical energy engineering issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process improvement and simulation applications within the hydrocarbon processing industry. Additionally, you should possess in-depth knowledge of data analysis, model-based optimization studies, and practices like Pinch Analysis for heat recovery optimization in both existing and new oil and gas facilities.  Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. A M.S. or Ph.D degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or other advanced professional degree is highly preferable. +17 years of experience in process simulation applications in Oil & Gas plants, refining & petrochemical sector. Demonstrate proficiency in the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry (e.g. API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of energy engineering. amiliarity with ISO-50001 Energy Management Standard and Requirement. Knowledge of oil/gas-related plant processes. Familiarity with development of energy efficiency roadmap, energy baseline and setting targets of energy key performance indicators. Strong data collection and data analytic experience to observe the energy saving opportunities and advise for better energy performance. Possess excellent computer skills as well as excellent oral/written presentation skills. Demonstrate strong management and coordination skills. Able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure. Key Responsibilities Conduct process improvement, modification and conceptual design. Conduct energy optimization studies at existing and new oil and gas facilities. Audit and review existing facilities to identify improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems by working closely with refineries, gas plants and oil processing facilities and engineering organizations. Participate in studies and research in collaboration with other organizations and external agencies related to new and existing facilities and systems. Conduct simulation studies using licensed software packages covering process simulation software. Introduce energy saving technologies for energy intensive equipment. Deliver presentations to an international audience of experts and publish technical papers. Develop an energy efficiency roadmap for oil and gas refineries. Develop energy baseline and Energy KPIs to analyze the energy performance. Ensure energy compliance and efficiency of each operating facilities. Develop and maintain Energy Policy, documents and procedures. Work with refinery energy team to identify energy saving opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operations. Analyze and monitor refinery energy use on a daily basis and conduct energy audits. Monitor refinery energy intensity indicators and control them toward energy efficiency. Conduct job site observation, field inspections or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analyzes. Conduct internal energy benchmarking studies among the oil and gas refineries. Organize technical exchange workshops among the oil and gas refineries. Develop and deliver training material to promote energy awareness among refinery personnel.
