Responsibilities

  • Converts data to actionable insights, and leverages data visualization tools to effectively tell a story
  • Develops advanced analytics using a limited assortment of modeling methods, algorithms and techniques, e.g., predictive modeling, text mining, statistical forecasting and analysis, optimization, and simulation modeling
  • Uses data analysis techniques to develop insights that lead to new recommendations presented to management
  • Leverages a variety of statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to analyze a variety of datasets to solve complex, unstructured business problems
  • Develops statistical models and designs controlled experiments to test ideas and validate hypotheses
  • Researches, develops and implements new methods of measuring and analyzing data sets and processes
  • Works with a wide range of proprietary, industry-standard and open-source data stores and tools to assemble, organize and analyze data
  • Makes sound decisions in the best interest of the firm according to risk management practices and policies

**Qualifications and

Required Skills :

  • Generally 3+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field
  • MS/PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Physics, Economics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Computational Sciences, with coursework and projects in machine learning and data analysis
  • Intermediate knowledge of statistical software packages, including SAS, Python and R
  • Adept at navigating relational databases
  • Practical knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, text mining
  • Comfortable explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
  • Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning
  • Strong story telling capabilities
  • Must be proactive, results driven and have a proven track record of execution
  • Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Cultivates partnerships and collaborates across teams
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends
  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under intense pressure
  • Exercise sound judgment; act with integrity; protect our company, clients and customers
  • Demonstrates full appreciation of and compliance with regulatory obligations

**Preferred / Complementary Skills

  • Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology or finance
